Our Story
Don Murray and Becca Boudreaux built Train Pro Dogs to help dog owners learn how to create a long-term bond and relationship with their dogs. After years building a top-rated location of a franchised dog training business, they felt it was time to go out on their own in order to provide the training they knew their clients needed.
They have one human child, Sierra, who is majoring in Finance at CU Denver and four dog kids: Hendrix, who Don rescued from a hoarding situation; Ellie, a high-energy, demanding border collie mix who has a great heart and loves trail running with Becca; Quesa, an American bulldog/boxer mix who came to them as a foster but quickly found her way into their hearts and pack; and Relic, a super smart merle border collie who keeps them on their training toes.
Our Philosophy
We know that obedience is the single most important ingredient for your dog to live a happy life. It provides a language for you and your dog to communicate through with words like heel, sit, come, down and place. We understand that the most important thing is not that your dog simply learns commands, but that your dog will respond no matter what else is going on. Your dog should listen to you whether you are in your kitchen, at the dog park or in the middle of a three-ring circus. By engaging your dog’s brain, we stimulate a deeper level of satisfaction that gets them excited about working for their human, which is truly what drives dogs at their core.
We also know that you, the owner, play a vital role. We can teach your dog to perform for us, but our specialty lies in the ability to transfer these skills to you and every member of your family. With a focus on the human-dog connection, we don’t just teach your dog, we teach you.
